Declaration of Independence

I’m on the road today and will post “the further adventures” soon. Wanted to just stop in and say how much I enjoyed hearing the Declaration of Independence read aloud this morning on the radio. This annual tradition always stirs my thoughts. I always wonder, had I been around in 1776, would I have thought this was the right move to make or would I have pleaded with my neighbors and leaders to make peace with the King of England?

I don’t have the answer, but I wonder. It’s kind of neat to think back through history and imagine yourself in various events.
